Argaka
village is a small beautiful community of the area of Polis
Chrysochous so it is not densely populated. It lies at the
very beginning of Pafos Forest and only meters away from the
beach. People there are open hearted and very friendly. After
wining and dining in the local restaurants one can burn it
all off by trying different sporting activities, such as
hiking, cycling, and nautical sports, like sailing, fishing,
swimming, diving, etc.
Peristerona is a traditional Cypriot picturesque mountain
village famous for its efforts to maintain the beauty and
the traditions of Cyprus.
All visitors to Peristerona will notice that the roads are
planted with local trees to add to the green feel of the
area. This is a tradition carried on through the ages. Many
of the locals work for the Cyprus Forestry Department and
indeed the Pafos regional Forest Chief comes from the
village. The surrounding countryside is also very
picturesque and an extremely romantic place. At
approximately 300 meters above sea level the soft undulating
hills are covered with vines, olive trees, wild flowers and
herbs, and fruit trees while most of the locations offer
views to the sea and the Akamas Peninsula or to the Evretou
dam. It is highly recommended to take the old road from
Peristerona to Lysos village and then down to Pelathousa and
on to Polis -the drive is absolutely beautiful.
Polis,
which in Greek means town, is one of the most beautiful
areas of Cyprus. It is situated near romantic sites,
close to where Aphrodite, goddess of love, used to meet her
beloved Adonis. Polis is near the Akamas Peninsula
which is a nature reserve of exceptional natural beauty.
The whole of the Polis area has been well blessed by nature
and the magic combination of mountain, sea and plain are
amazing. The seas are clean and warm with extensive
sandy blue flag beaches.

Cyprus is an island of
spectacular contrast and it offers sun drenched beaches, clear azure
waters, traditional mountain villages, Byzantine churches and
extraordinary sites of antiquity. Cyprus has a rich history with a
wide diversity of cultures that have influenced its development over the
centuries.
Our villas in Cyprus are located
in the coastal village of Argaka, the inland village of Peristerona
which are both a 10 minute drive away (either direction) from the main
town of Polis which is a 30 minute drive north of Pafos
We are a local family
and we own and manage the villas. Our main concern is to provide our
guests with a spacious, clean and relaxing atmosphere within which a
dream holiday can be enjoyed. When you arrive at the villa we will
be on hand to greet and meet you and we can be contacted at all times
during your stay for any assistance that you may need.
Polis has
amenities such as shops, supermarkets, banks, restaurants
and family taverns, bars, parks, hotels and a small
hospital. Polis is 35km from Paphos - a 30 minute
spectacular car ride. Polis is 45 minutes from Paphos
Airport and 2 hours from Larnaca Airport and 25 minutes from
the Tsada Golf Course
Cyprus has two
international airports: one in Larnaca and a second smaller one in
Paphos. There are also two ports: one in Limassol and one in Larnaca.
Cyprus is a famous island in a warm blue sea; -in herself a little
world- a world so old and yet so ageless that history, legend and
reality blend in harmony and charm. The magic of its beauty and 9000
years culture make Cyprus a most original island . Cyprus lies at the
meeting point of three continents; Europe, Asia and Africa, a factor
that determined its culture and destiny.
Polis area is where you can experience a back-to-basics lifestyle
staying in one of the many accommodations from where you can explore the
countryside. The Akamas peninsula is an area of natural wilderness with
dramatic coastlines and sandy coves. Visit one of the last Mediterranean
nesting grounds for the green and loggerhead turtles on the sandy
beaches of Lara. Or walk along one of the many scenic nature trails
spotting rare endemic plants that grow there, or watching migrating
birds fly by overhead. Or take a boat trip along the spectacular
coastline of what forms part of Aphrodite’s playground.
